    With classes already well under way, it’s difficult to believe that UNC Chapel Hill students were moving in only a few weeks ago!  As students strove to find their classes, make new friends, and of course reconnect with old ones, NC Hillel aimed to be a resource not only for the North Carolina community, but for the Jewish Community as well.  This year, as in the past, Hillel participated in the campus-wide “Week of Welcome” which served to (re)acquaint UNC-Chapel Hill students with their campus as well as the opportunities that it provides.

  • North Carolina Hillel Welcomes New Staff

    North Carolina Hillel is excited to introduce five new staff members joining our team this summer.

    Michelle Brownstein Horowitz (mbhorowitz@nchillel.org) joins NC Hillel
    as our new Assistant Director, having previously worked in a variety of
    positions in K-12 and higher education. Most recently, she ran an
    after-school program in the Durham Public Schools while completing her
    Master's Degree in Multicultural Education at the University of
    Wisconsin - Madison. During her Master's program, Michelle particularly
    enjoyed teaching an Introduction to Communications class for first-year
    students. Prior to living in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin, Michelle
    spent eight years in Washington, ...
