Students at a Yom HaAtzmaut CookoutNorth Carolina Hillel unequivocally supports the continued existence and vibrancy of the State of Israel.  Hillel sponsors Israel programming representing a wide range of perspectives and addressing a breadth of topics. We are committed to fostering balanced, informed dialogue about Israel on campus, and to providing programming that encompasses perspectives as broad as those of the members our diverse community.

Hillel's Policy Statement on Israel:
Hillel is steadfastly committed to the support of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state with secure and recognized borders and as a member of the family of free nations.

Past Israel programming has included:

  • Yom HaAtzmaut (Israeli Independence Day) celebrations
  • Guest speakers, including Israeli journalists, IDF officers, and Israeli social and political activists
  • Screening of the film "UNSETTLED," followed by a conversation with the director, Adam Hootnick

North Carolina Hillel is excited to be a part of the Israel Fellow program, a partnership between Hillel International and the Jewish Agency for Israel.  Hilla Paz has joined the staff team for the year to share his knowledge of Israel and to serve as a resource to campuses across the state.  Check out her bio.
