On Friday September 7th we will celebrate Shabbat in the Union.
Services will begin at 6pm in the pit
Dinner will be served at 7pm in the Great Hall of the student union.
A performance by the Achordants will follow dinner
Shabbat services are held at Hillel on UNC-Chapel Hill's campus Friday nights when school is in session. Occasionally, Hillel holds Shabbat BaBayit (Shabbat in the Home) to allow students to host their own Shabbat dinner in their residence halls or apartments. During Shabbat BaBayit there will not be services or dinner at Hillel. Sign up for Shabbat in the Home for the following dates:
6:15 p.m. - D'var Torah (reflections on a topic from the Torah) and services
7:30 p.m. - Kosher dinner
Located at North Carolina Hillel, 210 W. Cameron Ave, Chapel Hill, NC 27516
On Friday nights, students, faculty, and guests from around the state gather for a fun, meaningful and delicious Shabbat experience. Choose from three different services: Conservative, Reform, or Alternative (Curious? Check it out!). RSVP for a free, home-cooked Kosher dinner by Wednesday night of that week.
