The Bina Initiative is an Israel exploration program sponsored by NC Hillel for Carolina students, faculty and staff that runs for ten weeks during the spring semester. Bina explores the many facets of Israel through guest speakers, film, contemporary articles, music, self-reflection, literature, and politics. Bina is a forum for open and frank discussion, pluralistic viewpoints, and critical thinking, so people from all backgrounds are welcome.

Past sessions have included learning about contemporary Israeli society through rock n' roll and talking about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with an Israeli world peace fellow and a Palestinian student.

The program meets on Thursday evenings from 5:15 - 7:00PM for ten weeks from mid-January through the beginning of April at NC Hillel.  Dinners are provided.

Applications are open until November 21st, 2008.
You will hear back about your placement in the program by December 5th, 2008.
