North Carolina Hillel encourages and provides scholarships to help students attend conferences sponsored by Hillel and its partner agencies throughout the year. NC Hillel sees these scholarships as an investment in a student's local campus, expecting that the student will return to school to implement an idea or program s/he learned at the conference.
Past NC Hillel scholarships have helped students attend:
*Hillel's Schusterman International Student Leaders Assembly *Hillel's Student Program at the UJC General Assembly (GA) *Leaders Assembly in Israel (December-January, 2007-08)
*Hillel's Spitzer Forum on Public Policy (in February)
*Koach (Conservative Movement's college outreach arm) Kallah (in February) *Kesher (Reform Movement's college outreach arm) Kallah
*AIPAC Policy Conference (in May) *Israel conferences through the Consul General of Israel's Atlanta office
*Brandeis-Bardin Institute (summer) *Alternative Break trips for Gulf Coast rebuilding
