The Dark Knight's Journey Co-sponsored by CUAB and NC Hillel Monday, October 27 Can you believe it? We've invited Michael Uslan, the producer of THE DARK KNIGHT and the Batman series, to UNC-Chapel Hill! And IT'S FREE FOR ALL!!!
3:30PM in the Student Union Fishbowl Lounge: Join us for an informal discussion with Michael Uslan on comic book mythology. What makes Uslan even more exciting is how he successfully created and taught the world's first accredited college course on comic books. Michael addresses how the majority of the founders of the comic book industry are Jewish immigrants or 1st generation American Jews. Personally familiar with these legends, Uslan shares their anecdotes. He also discusses the influence of comic books on contemporary American society.
You are encouraged to come, listen and debate Uslan!!
8PM in Memorial Hall:
Let Michael Uslan take you along on his journey from fan to filmmaker (bringing Batman successfully to the big screen).
He was laughed off at first, and told that comics were not a respectable movie genre. Despite this repeated rejection, he produced the greatest movie opening of all time, The Dark Knight!
He will include clips/outtakes of The Dark Knight and even showing clips of his new film coming out Spirit!
