Take a break from unpacking and come get a cold glass of iced tea, meet the board, and get a building tour!
SUNDAY, AUGUST 17th
11:00AM -1:00PM: Bagels on the Quad
Lower Quad, near Murphey Hall
Bring your parents and come shmooze with us while we eat bagels and schmear! This is a great opportunity for students to meet each other and for parents to meet other NC Hillel parents!
1:00PM: Book Buy
Leaving directly from Bagels on the Quad
Buying or picking up your books can be really confusing! Stick around after Bagels on the Quad. We'll take you to Ram's Book Supply or the Student Stores to help you get all your books so that you'll be ready for class!
MONDAY, AUGUST 18th
2:00PM: Building tour
Worried about finding your way around campus on the first day of classes? Have no fear, Hillel is here! Hillel Board members will be stationed at Ram’s Head dining hall, the Old Well, the Bell Tower and the Hillel building to take groups of new students on campus tours! Bring your schedule and we'll show you where to go! Don’t miss this opportunity to get rid of your maps and feel more comfortable for school the following day!
5:30PM: Dinner on Franklin St
Don't know the best places to eat in Chapel Hill? Meet at Hillel and walk to the best restaurants on Franklin St. with a group of Hillel friends! Afterwards, a group will walk to campus to check out the "Sunset Serenade" featuring Sababa!
TUESDAY, AUGUST 19th
12:00PM: Lunch at Lenoir or Agora
In front of Lenoir and in the Agora lobby between East and West towers
Join us for our first weekly lunch in Lenoir and the Agora! Carolina dining at its finest.

Come by for a fun evening of basketball, volleyball, Twister, and other fun games! We provide the snacks you provide the fun! Also, find out about Hillel's AWESOME intramural teams.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 20th
5:30 – 7:30PM: Annual Cookout and Info Fair

Relax with your friends and eat Dave Klapper's famous burgers and 'dogs.
You can also learn about all of the exciting programs sponsored through Hillel! Come speak with representatives from many of the amazing Jewish groups on campus and learn how you can get involved. You can also hear Sababa, Carolina's coolest a capella group!
THURSDAY, AUGUST 21st
8:00PM: Ice cream at the Old Well
Cool off with us at Carolina's famous landmark. There will be plenty of ice cream to share!
FRIDAY, AUGUST 22nd
Shabbat with a side of CHiPS

8:30PM: Chapel Hill Players Improv Troupe
Want to go to Shabbat with a group of friends? Meet other Hillel-goers at 6PM at the Pit and the Eringhaus Bus Stop and make your way towards services and a delicious dinner!
It's Friday night and that means it's time for NC Hillel's first shabbat of the year. Join us for services (reform, conservative, or alternative) and a free kosher dinner. Stick around because after dinner is a special performance by UNC's premiere comedy troupe, CHiPS. RSVP at www.nchillel.org

8:30PM: Havdalah at the Bell Tower
The Bell Tower is one of the most majestic sites on all of campus. Tonight, it will also be the site of a short Havdalah ceremony. Join all of us in welcoming in the new week.
